Howdy Friends,It’s workshop time again! This SPRING I’m ONLY offering one scheduled sessions as listed below. Also, in response to your requests for more flexible workshop dates, I am now also scheduling a series of semi- private sessions which will be held on dates which are set at YOUR convenience. Each semi-private session will have a maximum of two students and will run for 3 – 5 days. Your week of study can include either the ARTISTIC TRADITIONAL GLASS PAINTING AND VITRI-FUSÁILLE TECHNIQUE program or the INDEPENDENT STUDY/ADVANCED VITRI-FUSÁILLE and PAINTING program, or the new TRADITIONAL PORTRAIT PAINTING FOR RELI GIOUS SUBJECTS (see description below). These semi-private sessions offer students a far greater level of personal attention and productivity than can be found in the larger group sessions. And because you get to choose the dates to attend you can study glass painting when you want.
SPRING GROUP SESSION OFFERING (scheduled / 5 students per session)
MAY 27 – 31 ARTISTIC TRADITIONAL GLASS PAINTING AND VITRI-FUSÁILLE TECHNIQUE.5 day intensive. No experience necessary. Intensive overview of all the glass painting techniques with an emphasis on creative problem solving for a variety of aesthetic approaches. Techniques include tracing, matting, and the use of silver stains, enamels, and Vitri-Fusáille technique. Presented via several formula projects as well as an individual show piece by each student.. This is a fantastic class for anyone who is interested in learning as much as they possibly can in a single workshop. TUITION: $950
SEMI-PRIVATE OFFERINGS (by special arrangement / 2 student max. per session))Scheduled as 5 day sessions whenever the classroom is available. Limit of two students per session. Area of study can include anything from the following list of programs. This class examines the methods of glass painting utilized for the creation of more delicate portraiture and the rendering of visual effects commonly found in Liturgical style work. An emphasis is placed on developing an appropriate subject and initiating a painting sequence which results in more realistic imagery. This class is recommended for folks who have a fundamental level of painting experience and who want to address this style of painting for their own original projects or classical / restorative commissioned work.
